For A Wheelchair Story, we undertook extensive visual effects and 3D animation work. We created a fantastical prehistoric creature, a fantasy sailing ship navigating a small harbour, a train travelling along railway tracks, and flocks of birds animated in complex, coordinated formations known as murmurations.

We also created the effects for a house fire, working on both interior and exterior sequences and integrating digital elements with live-action footage of actors and extras.

Our environment work included set extensions, the digital reconstruction of a small harbour station to replace the real location, and extensive clean-up to remove vehicles and elements inconsistent with the period in which the story is set. We also handled wire and rig removal in stunt sequences, compositing and relighting to match the lighting of the integrated elements.
